Due to weather concerns, tonight's JH Conference Tournament games have been rescheduled for Wednesday, November 6th. Games will start at 1:00 pm.

October Bluejacket Buzz pictures. In order are the Character Trait Award recipients, Accelerated Reader Award recipients, Community Service Volunteers, Spirit Stick winners 4 th grade, October Students of the Month, Faculty giving drugs a fright for Red Ribbon Week.
We had a fa-boo-lous Howl-Owen luncheon to just celebrate a boo-tiful group we have here at Coyle. Along with that we had a pumpkin carving/painting contest for the faculty to enter to see who would take home the coveted "Jack Carver Award" traveling trophy.
It was a busy week at CPS with lots of activities and bond improvements going on. We started Thursday morning with Bluejacket Buzz where 42 students have already reached their AR goal for the semester and were awarded prizes and certificates for their effort. Our M.S. boys and girls brought home 1st and 3rd from the Ripley Tournament. All of this and continued instruction happening within a construction zone as roof upgrades and bathroom remodels take place.

The students working at the OSU game this Saturday, Nov. 2 need to be at the school before 3:00pm. The students know who they are. They will need to wear their t-shirts and their hoodies. Mrs. Larman has hoodies for the students who need them. She will give them out on Saturday.
The 5th and 6th Grade Bluejacket Teams played their hearts out and won at the 5th&6th Grade Ripley Basketball Tournament this afternoon! Congratulations to our young Lady Bluejackets as they placed 3rd in the tournament with their win today! The young Bluejackets WON it all as they were the Tournament Champions on the boys’ side. Great job to all!!! We are PROUD of YOU!
ANNOUNCEMENT: The varsity football game between Coyle and Cherokee (at Cherokee) will kickoff at NOON (12PM) November 1st. Please note the time change. The game was originally scheduled for 7 PM. We apologize for the late notice.
Just a reminder that the Town of Coyle has their Halloween trail happening this evening from 6-8pm. You can pick up a map at City Hall and the trail ends at the park with a movie. Be sure to swing by the school and say hi to Mr and Mrs Gebhart from the movie Grease.
Just a reminder that tomorrow is the last day for teachers, staff, and students in grades 8-12 to order a Walking Taco Meal from the Junior Class. The price for the meal is $6.; this includes a drink. If you just want a Walking Taco, it will be $5. The Walking Taco has nacho cheese Doritos, ground beef, lettuce, grated cheese, salsa, sour cream and jalapeños. Orders are customized to each individual. If there is anyone in the community who would like to order a Walking Taco Meal, please contact Mrs. Larman at 405-612-0467. The meals will be available from 11:20 AM until 12:45 PM. We are monitoring the fire West of Coyle carefully and are in contact with local Fire Departments and Emergency Management. We have a safety plan in place if needed. As we get closer to bus routes we will update you. Those of you that live North of 33 and East of Hiawassee may need to prepare to pick up student if needed.

The Junior High Football game against Olive scheduled for tomorrow, October 28, has been canceled.
Congratulations to Lady Bluejacket Abigail McCormick, STATE QUALIFIER for Cross Country. She placed 17th overall out of all the runners and 8th high individual with a time of 14.22. STATE qualifying was top 5 teams and the next 12 individuals, Coyle didn't have enough runners to qualify as a team. However, with her time today, Abby qualified as an individual. Way to go Abby!!
Just a reminder that high school STUCO students are meeting tomorrow afternoon, Sunday October 27 at 2:00 PM to decorate the school hallways for Red Ribbon Week. Any other students who wish to help are welcome. Mrs. Larman

The 5th and 6th Grade Basketball teams won their games tonight at the 5th and 6th Grade Heartland Conference Tournament. The girls placed 3rd in the tournament. Way to go Lady Bluejackets! The boys WON the tournament with a score of 45-7 over their opponent tonight. Great job Bluejackets! Congratulations to both teams!!
